RamTV Distance Learning Filming Tips

Even though we are filming from home, we want to present the best quality video that we can. Here are some tips:

Lighting: Film in a well lit area. Don’t film with a bright window behind you so that you are back lit. Turn around and let the light from the window lighten your face.

Camera Steadiness: Keep the camera steady as you film. You can prop your phone up on its side against something or have someone hold the phone as steady as they can. We want to demonstrate professionalism in our product.

Audio: Make sure to record in a quiet location. Don’t have music playing or other sounds in the background. Speak up so everyone can hear you well. A great looking video can be ruined by bad audio.

Background: Make sure everything in the background of your video is nice & appropriate for the video. Filming with a wall behind you is great. Mirrors and reflective surfaces can show things that you might not want to be seen. Consider everything in the background of the video.

Nobody but Ramona Students: You might have adorable little siblings and/or other people in your house that you might want to have in your video and/or have other people who simply walk through the background of your video. Do not allow this in your finished products. While we have permission for you to be in our videos, we can’t have other minors in our videos without signed permission slips.
